REPORT: The Impact of Fear on Decision-Making
Fear is a powerful and misunderstood evolutionary gift that impacts our decisions in ways we can’t see. And at this moment we’re experiencing a growing epidemic of fear in our daily lives.
To build a better world in 2021 and beyond, we need to know how fear is impacting our personal and professional decisions. That’s why Rob Roy Consulting partnered with FOURAGE to survey 509 individuals across the U.S. to explore how fear impacts the choices they make, and those of their friends and colleagues. Their answers tell a fascinating story of awareness, blind spots, and the untapped potential of turning fear into ally in our lives.
Perhaps most telling, 77% of respondents said it would be extremely useful or useful to learn how to respond to their own fears more intentionally. Our study also looks at:
- Changes in the frequency and severity of fear in our personal and professional lives
- The frequency with which we examine our fears
- Our levels of self-awareness around our own fears
- Secondary emotions that often mask fear
- Perceived benefits of changing the nature of our relationship with fear
“Fear is courage unrealized,” is a mantra of FOURAGE. We encourage you to download our study today, available on Rob Roy Consulting's website.
